Stretched across the middle of the light-blue three-seater sofa, Max drifted into a nap, punctuated by the occasional soft snore. His back paws rested against the sofa back while one front leg reached outward, the little paw looking as if it were tucked inside a white mitten. In this position, he managed to occupy all three seats.
The sofa had originally been beige, but W spent days reupholstering it in light blue before Max moved in. As we had learned from his previous owner that baby blue was his favorite color. As it turned out, Max’s tastes were not so exclusive. He quickly embraced the rest of our palette as well, leaving his marks on the ochre leather sofa, the burnt-orange lounge chairs, and the dining chairs.
